Patient Resources

Our team have developed a number of patient resources. Below you will find:

Shoulder pain

This decision aid is for people with shoulder pain – likely due to issues with rotator cuff tendons that move and support the shoulder (e.g. inflammation, tears) – who are considering getting a scan.

Treating non-specific back pain

This interactive tool helps you to explore the evidence around select treatment options for non-specific low back pain, as evaluated in a review led by Dr Caitlin Jones.

Reporting Infographics and Visual Abstracts of Comparative studies (RIVA-C) checklist

People often use infographics are a substitute for reading the full-text. Whilst this saves time, it is a concern as most infographics do not present enough information to understand research appropriately. This has implications in guiding good health decisions.

Led by A/Prof Joshua Zadro, members of our team and collaborators developed the RIVA-C Checklist and guide to facilitate the creation of clear, transparent and sufficiently detailed infographics that summarise comparative studies of health and medical interventions. You can read about the development here.
